August is coming, so it's time to update your syllabi for Fall! This compact 2-session course overviews best practices in course design from the perspective of a faculty member who has an existing syllabus and wants to tweak it. We'll consider alignment, student workload, faculty workload, and AI considerations. Our emphasis throughout is integrating practices with a high impact on student learning but low impact on faculty workload. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions, share ideas, and get feedback on your syllabus revision. Thursday will focus on course-level tweaks; Friday will be time for Q&A on your change ideas along with within-course and day-level tweaks. All disciplines & levels welcome. Thursday & Friday Aug 6-7
