Academics are notoriously bad at estimating how much work they can get done in a given period, and we're also ridiculously optimistic about what we can accomplish in a summer. In this 90 min workshop, we take a hard look at the realities of summer research time and develop concrete strategies for managing our summer time. Just because we CAN do it in the summer does not mean we should, and just because we SHOULD do it in the summer does not mean we can. I'll help you learn to make better decisions about managing your time and balancing work in the summer.
